Operation Akhal has been going on since August 1, aimed at neutralizing terrorist groups active in the area. A joint team of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a massive cordon and search operation in the forests based on intelligence information. The operation has involved continuous surveillance using drones and night vision equipment to track terrorist movements.
Heavy weapons and armored vehicles have been deployed to strengthen the perimeter. Forces are using advanced communication systems to coordinate in real time and respond quickly to any hostile activity. Several suspected hideouts have already been destroyed, disrupting terrorist supply chains. Despite tough terrain and unpredictable weather, the morale of the troops remains high as they push forward with determination.
During this operation, the security forces are taking action against the terrorists with full strength. In the constantly changing circumstances, the joint efforts of the army and the police are surrounding the terrorists and curbing their activities. The operation is ongoing, and the security forces are fully alert. Let us tell you that this is being described as one of the longest operations in the history of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. So far 13 soldiers have been injured during this anti-terrorism operation. Medical teams are stationed nearby to provide immediate treatment to the injured.
Local residents have been evacuated from sensitive areas to prevent civilian casualties. Intelligence agencies are closely monitoring cross-border communication to identify any reinforcements being sent to the militants. The army is also engaging in psychological operations to weaken the morale of the terrorists. Experts believe this operation could significantly cripple terror networks in the region for years to come.
