Turban Controversy: The Kulhad Pizza couple, who gained viral attention following the leak of an intimate video in September last year, has now turned to the Jathedar (religious head) of the Akal Takht Sahib for guidance. The couple has asked the Jathedar to determine whether Sehaj Arora, the man in the video, can continue wearing his turban.

The controversy surrounding Sehaj Arora's turban began when a group of Nihang Sikhs, a warrior sect within Sikhism, called for the couple to stop making videos. They also demanded that Sehaj Arora remove his turban, citing it as a mark of disrespect to the faith.

Following the leak of their morphed video, Sehaj Arora and his partner, Gurmeet Kaur, withdrew from social media. Recently, however, the couple reappeared online, sharing quirky food recipes from their restaurant, Kulhad Pizza. Despite this return, a section of the Sikh community expressed dissatisfaction, criticizing the couple’s presence on the internet.

In a self-released video, the couple appealed to the Akal Takht Sahib for protection for themselves and their family. They also revealed plans to submit a letter to the Jathedar, requesting his judgment on whether Sehaj Arora could retain his turban despite the backlash.

During their first public appearance this year in August, the couple addressed misconceptions about the video in an interview on the podcast "Talks with Namit." They denied claims that they had leaked the video for fame, with Gurmeet Kaur lamenting their drastic loss in business. "Our restaurant sales have dropped to just 10% of what they used to be. Who would do this to themselves?" she asked.
