In a chilling incident from Saran district in Bihar, an eighth-grade student was brutally murdered on allegations of harassing a girl. The minor was allegedly beaten mercilessly, strangled to death, and his mouth stuffed with sand and bricks before his body was abandoned in an isolated area. Saran police uncovered the shocking crime on Wednesday. The boy’s body was discovered in a bushy area in Navalpur village under Nagara police station on Monday night.

The victim's mother, Anita Devi, filed a missing person’s report on Monday when her son failed to return home. After the discovery of the body, the case escalated into a murder investigation. Based on Anita Devi's statement, police registered a case against two named suspects and several unidentified individuals.

CCTV footage and local sources lead to arrests

The investigation included analysing CCTV footage from the area and gathering intelligence through local informants. Preliminary findings suggested that the student was abducted and murdered for allegedly troubling a girl. Police said he was called out of his house on Monday evening and never returned.

Two suspects, Sachin Kumar Shah and Shiv Kumar, have been detained in connection with the crime.

Accused confess to the crime

Saran Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish revealed that the accused confessed during interrogation. According to their statement, the victim had been persistently troubling a girl, who was the sister of one of the accused. Despite repeated warnings to stay away from her, the boy continued his actions, prompting the accused to take extreme measures. Another person’s involvement in the crime is also being investigated.

The police are continuing their inquiry to ensure justice is served.
