Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken an important step to support farmers. By ensuring the continuous purchase of paddy crops, the government is providing great relief to farmers. The Chief Minister has clearly stated that every single grain of the farmers’ crop will be purchased.
There has been no break in paddy procurement this season. Farmers’ crops are being bought quickly at government centers. CM Bhagwant Mann has instructed officials to keep procurement going without interruption. Adequate staff and procurement agencies have been deployed to make this possible.
Thousands of purchase centers have been opened throughout Punjab. These centers are fully equipped with staff and facilities to ensure smooth operations. The government has made sure there is no shortage at any center. Special arrangements have been made to monitor these centers. Officials are ordered to check the centers every day. If a farmer faces any problem, it is resolved immediately. District-level control rooms have been set up for farmers to register complaints. The government has also made the centers comfortable for farmers. Proper arrangements for water, shade, and seating are provided so farmers can sell their crops without any inconvenience.
Farmers are receiving full payment for their paddy on time. Money is being transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts within 48 hours of selling their crops. Earlier, farmers had to wait for months to get paid. This new system is a big relief. The digital payment system has been strengthened to remove the need for cash transactions. Direct transfers to bank accounts also ensure transparency. CM Bhagwant Mann has promised that every grain of farmers’ crops will be purchased, whether they have one bag or hundreds of bags. This has made farmers happy and confident to focus on farming.
The Mann government is giving special attention to small and marginal farmers. These farmers, who often faced difficulties earlier, are now receiving equal facilities and respect. To avoid crowding, a token system has been introduced at purchase centers. Farmers can come at their scheduled time, sell their crops quickly, and leave. An online portal has also been created where farmers can check their turn and track payments. This saves time and effort while keeping the process transparent. Farmers have appreciated the system. Harpal Singh from Ludhiana said, “For the first time, we didn’t face any trouble.
Everything happened smoothly.” Balwinder Singh from Sangrur added, “My crop was sold in two days and the money came in three days. This has never happened before.” CM Bhagwant Mann said, “Punjab’s farmers provide our food. They deserve full value for their work. We will buy every grain and ensure no farmer faces problems. Punjab’s government stands with the farmers. Their prosperity is Punjab’s prosperity.” Experts believe that if this system continues, it will secure a bright future for Punjab’s farmers.
