After Nitish Kumar took oath as a Rajya Sabha MP, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, "Nitish Kumar is like a 'standard' in India. I have known him for 40 years...I think this is the fourth chapter of his life. He was never a Member of the Rajya Sabha. He was a Member of Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad, and now he is entering the Rajya Sabha.''
''So, he became a member of all four foundations of democracy in the state and country as enshrined in the Constitution. But for us and the whole of Bihar he is the CM and the state will continue to work as per his guidance. He is popular and accepted by all. He is a good person...I congratulate him...," he said.
