'No Talks Except On PoK': Rajnath Singh's Strong Message To Pakistan On Kargil Vijay Diwas (x)

Dras: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday paid tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation during the 1999 Kargil War and issued a strong warning to Pakistan, stating that there will be no talks with the country other than on Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.

Who attended the event?

The Defence Minister on Sunday laid a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial, paying homage to the war heroes who laid their lives during the 1999 'Operation Vijay'. Meanwhile, Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena also laid a wreath at the memorial to pay homage to the bravehearts.

Rajnath Singh was joined by Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth and senior military officers in Dras.

What did the Defence Minister say?

Speaking at the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas commemoration at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras, Ladakh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh slammed Pakistan and said that there will be no talks with Pakistan other than on Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), which is a "part of India illegally occupied" by it.

"Any evil step towards the sovereignty and integrity of India will meet with the same fate. There will be no talks with Pakistan other than on Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK), a part of India which it occupied illegally,” the Defence Minister said.

"While we are finding new ways of innovation, Pakistan is seeking new ways of infiltration. Today, India is making data centres but Pakistan is busy creating radical centres," he said.

The Defence Minister further stated that Pakistan has now made terrorism a part of its government policy, and the distinction between the military and militants has completely disappeared. The military not only protects terrorist organizations but also works closely with them.

What did Rajnath Singh say about soldiers?

The Defence Minister on Sunday described India's victory in the Kargil War in 1999 as "a diamond studded in the crown of Bharat Mata".

Rajnath Singh said, "Our brave soldiers have always displayed extraordinary valor and courage. We recently celebrated the first anniversary of the success of 'Operation Sindoor.' During this operation, our valiant soldiers and officers gave a befitting reply to the terrorists and their patrons that they will never forget. India has the capability to respond to every nefarious act of Pakistan in a manner more severe than it can even imagine. I want to give a clear message from this platform that this will be the outcome for every nefarious act that threatens India's sovereignty."
