Operation Sindoor Continues: 100 Terrorists Killed, All Parties Stand with Army

After the Indian armed forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' in Pakistan and PoK, there is a stir on both sides. While National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met PM Narendra Modi at his official residence, the government held an all-party meeting in the Parliament premises and informed about the operation. This all-party meeting lasted for about one and a half hours. The opposition expressed satisfaction over the action and said that it is with the government on this issue. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that 'Operation Sindoor' has not ended yet and it is continuing.

Sources have also revealed that the government has said that about 100 terrorists have been killed. There is no concrete information yet. The counting is still on. We do not want to take the matter further, if Pakistan does so then we will not back down either.

Opposition seeks special session after 100 terrorist kills claim

During the all-party meeting, opposition parties have demanded a special session of Parliament. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded a special session. According to sources, the government told the opposition that 100 terrorists have been killed in this operation. Earlier on Wednesday, the central government had said that an all-party meeting has been called on Thursday to share information about the operation carried out targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju gave information about this meeting on X.

After the all-party meeting, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said, "In the meeting, we heard what they (the Centre) had to say. They also said that some confidential information cannot be shared outside. As Mallikarjun Kharge said, they (the government) said there are some things we don't want to discuss."

A campaign should be launched against TRF: Owaisi

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi said after the meeting, "I have praised our armed forces and the government for Operation Sindoor. I also suggested that we should launch a global campaign against the Resistance Front (TRF)." He further said, "I also suggested that the government should request the US to designate it (TRF) as a terrorist organisation. We should also make efforts to get Pakistan grey-listed in FATF."

Who attended the meeting

A meeting of leaders of all parties was called at the Parliament Library Building in the Parliament complex in Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Apart from Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Kiren Rijiju, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Health Minister JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also attended the meeting on behalf of the government. While from the opposition side, apart from the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Supriya Sule, and Sanjay Raut participated in the Lok Sabha. Apart from these, Praful Patel, Sambit Patra, Sanjay Singh, Sanjay Jha, Premchand Gupta, John Brittas also participated.

All-Party Meeting on Counter-Terrorism

Regarding attending the all-party meeting, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, "Representatives of different parties have been called in the all-party meeting. We will get the information given by the government about this operation in the meeting. This is the time to unite and fight against Pakistan and its terrorist organizations. The whole country is happy with the way the Indian Army has destroyed the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan."
