National News: On the 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his 12th straight address from the Red Fort, placing a strong emphasis on national security. He began by saluting the soldiers who carried out Operation Sindoor, a military response launched after the shocking terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This attack, carried out by heavily armed militants from across the border, took the lives of 26 innocent people. The prime minister said that the entire nation was outraged, and the armed forces were granted complete freedom to take action.

PM Modi said that the operation was conducted with exceptional bravery and planning, delivering a blow to Pakistan “beyond the enemy’s imagination.” He added that the success of Operation Sindoor had left Pakistan in shock and taught it a lesson it “will not forget.”

No More Nuclear Blackmail

Addressing a major concern, PM Modi firmly stated that India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail from Pakistan any longer. “For a long time, we have seen such threats, but now, it stops here,” he said. He warned that if enemies continue to use nuclear intimidation, the Indian Armed Forces will respond at a time, place, and manner of their choosing.

His remarks came shortly after Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, made an alarming statement threatening that Pakistan could “take half the world down with it” if provoked. India responded firmly, warning Pakistan that any misadventure would lead to “painful consequences.”

Full Freedom to the Forces

The Prime Minister explained that after the Pahalgam tragedy, his government gave the military complete operational freedom to take necessary action. This, he said, allowed them to respond swiftly and effectively without political delays. “Our soldiers acted with courage and clarity, ensuring that the enemy understood the cost of its actions,” he said.

He highlighted how the attack in Pahalgam was especially brutal, as terrorists specifically asked victims about their religion before killing them. “Such barbarism will never be forgiven,” Modi stressed.

Blood and Water Will Not Flow Together

In a strong policy announcement, PM Modi referred to the Indus Water Treaty between India and Pakistan. “India has now decided that blood and water will not flow together,” he proclaimed. he declared. The prime minister criticized the decades-old agreement, saying it had been unfair to Indian farmers for over seventy years. While Pakistani lands benefited from Indus water, Indian farmers were left struggling.

He confirmed that his government has suspended certain provisions of the treaty, ensuring that the water once flowing to Pakistan is now redirected for use in Indian agriculture. “This is justice for our farmers,” he said.

A Message of Strength and Unity

PM Modi’s speech was a mix of tribute and warning. He honored the armed forces, reassured citizens about the country’s defense readiness, and sent a strong message to Pakistan. He said India’s approach will always be decisive, ensuring national security and protecting the dignity of its people.

The Independence Day address reflected a clear stance—India will respond firmly to threats, whether they come in the form of terrorism or nuclear intimidation.
