PM Modi in Bihar's Muzaffarpur: To Organise Competition For Promoting Chhath Songs (X@narendramodi)
Muzaffarpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made some bold statements from Bihar's Muzaffarpur during his election rally on Thursday. He took a sharp dig at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Targeting the RJD, PM Modi said that party is taking the state to the era of “jungle raj.” During his address, PM Modi said RJD’s rule was marked by “Katta (gun), Krurta (cruelty), Katuta (bitterness), Kushasan (misrule), and Corruption.”
Taking a dig at opposition, PM Modi targetted Congress and RJD, and accused them of insulting Chhathi Maiyya for political reasons. In his address, PM Modi said, “Can anyone insult Chhathi Maiyya for votes in an election? Will the people of Bihar and the country tolerate such an insult?”
Addressing the rally in Bihar, PM Modi said, ''The people of Bihar have showered their blessings on the NDA in every election. This time too, there is a strong wave in favor of the BJP-NDA across the state, including Muzaffarpur.''

What PM Modi said about Center's initiative to promote Chhath songs?
During his address at Bihar, PM Modi also announced a nationwide Chhath song competition in order to promote cultural heritage among youths. PM Modi said, “We want the youth to connect more deeply with the rich legacy of Chhath songs. These devotional songs carry forward the festival’s values from one generation to another.”
He further added that the Chhath songs competition would feature artists from various parts of India, that would help “new voices, new songs, and new expressions of devotion emerge.”
PM Modi said, “Our government is committed to ensuring that this sacred celebration of faith and nature finds its rightful place on the global stage. The process is long and demanding, but we are determined to see Chhath Mahaparv recognized by UNESCO as a festival that unites humanity.”
