New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation in the 128th episode of his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. The telecast of the program will begin at 11 am and will be heard and seen simultaneously on the entire network of All India Radio (Akashvani) and Doordarshan.
The telecast of Mann Ki Baat will also be available live on the AIR News website, the News on Air mobile app, and the YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It will be broadcast in various Indian languages on All India Radio immediately after the Hindi version.
Mann Ki Baat has been the main medium for Prime Minister Modi to connect directly with the public for the last several years. Through this program they reach out to Indians living in the country and abroad, express their views on different social issues, and inspire people for public participation. The highlight of this program is also to highlight the small but impactful efforts taking place across the country.
In the 127th episode aired on October 26, the Prime Minister congratulated the Chhath festival and praised the youth who have contributed to reviving Sanskrit. Referring to the global recognition that India's coffee is getting, he described it as the achievement of the efforts of farmers and entrepreneurs.
While talking about the efforts related to public welfare, PM Modi had mentioned 'GST Savings Utsav,' which was much discussed across the country. He also praised several citizen-led campaigns related to cleanliness and the environment—such as the 'Garbage Cafe' in Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh), where food is given in exchange for plastic waste, and Bengaluru engineer Kapil Sharma's efforts to revive lakes.
The Prime Minister also appreciated the initiative by BSF and CRPF to adopt Indian breed dogs, which he termed as an important step towards self-reliance.
Since its launch in October 2014, Mann Ki Baat has not only been a radio program but has also become the basis of many people's movements. Mann Ki Baat has played an important role in connecting people in campaigns like Swachh Bharat, digital literacy, environmental protection, water saving, and women's empowerment.
The eyes of the entire country are fixed on what message the prime minister gives in today's episode.
