PM Modi Repeats Appeal In Mann Ki Baat: Cut Fuel Use, Avoid Buying Gold For A Year (X)
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the 135th episode of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'. While addressing, the Prime Minister shared about the impact of the appeal to not buy gold and save petrol and diesel.
While addressing the nation during his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi thanked citizens for responding positively to his appeal made in view of the prevailing war-like situation in Middle East.
"I had urged countrymen on a few points. I had asked people to avoid buying gold for some time, as far as possible," the Prime Minister said.
PM Modi expressed gratitude to the public and said thaty citizens had not only supported his appeal but had also actively cooperated in several ways.
"I am grateful to every citizen of the country. Not only have they supported my appeal, they are also actively cooperating in every way. Many families have shared their experiences with me through messages," he said.

PM Narendra Modi had recently appealed to save petrol and diesel, not buy gold for a year, and carpooling amid the global crisis caused by the Iran-US-Israel war.
While sharing response to carpooling, PM Modi said that many people travelling in the same direction had started sharing vehicles instead of using separate cars.
"People have shared many experiences regarding carpooling as well. Those who used to travel in their own vehicles in the same direction every day have now started commuting together," PM Modi said.
While speaking about the Navy's three new ships, PM Modi said in his Mann Ki Baat address, "Even in the month of June, the country achieved some milestones that make every citizen feel proud. These achievements are linked to the nation's security and self-reliance. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a naval event in Kolkata. There, INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhan, and INS Agray were inducted into the Indian Navy fleet..."
