PM Modi To Address AI Impact Summit Today; French President, UN Chief Among Key Speakers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday, which will also feature speeches by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

When will PM Modi address the summit?

PM Modi will participate in the opening ceremony of the India AI Summit, scheduled to begin at around 9:40 am, and deliver his address to the gathering at around 10:25 am. 

The opening ceremony will also be addressed by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with  various top industry leaders from across the world.

PM Modi’s address will be followed by keynote presentations by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google DeepMind CEO Dennis Hassabis, and Reliance Industries Limited, chairman and managing director, Mukesh Ambani. The keynote speakers include Gates Foundation Chair Bill Gates, and Microsoft president Brad Smith.

Any other programs?

PM Modi will then participate in the Leaders' Plenary which will take place around 12 noon onwards. It will bring together Heads of State, ministers, and senior representatives from multilateral institutions to outline national and global priorities on AI, including governance, infrastructure, and international cooperation.

Will there be roundtable meeting?

Prime Minister Modi will participate in the CEO roundtable from 5:30 pm onwards. It will convene senior executives from global technology and industry firms with government leadership to discuss investment, research collaboration, supply chains, and deployment of AI systems.

When was summit inaugurated?

PM Modi on February 16 inaugurated the world’s largest artificial intelligence summit, in New Delhi, which has witnessed significant global participation. 

The event is bringing together more than 500 AI leaders, including CEOs and CXOs, around 100 founders and chief executives, 150 academicians and researchers, and nearly 400 CTOs, vice presidents, and philanthropists.

The exhibition will remain closed to the general public on Thursday and to make up for the closure, the government has extended the expo by an additional day, keeping it open until Saturday.
