Ayodhya: After the consecration of the grand Ram temple built at Ram Janmabhoomi, the historic moment of flag hoisting is about to come. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist a 22 feet long and 11 feet wide saffron flag on the 161 feet high peak of the temple on November 25. This ceremony will not only mark the completion of the temple construction but will also mark the beginning of BJP's new campaign. Preparations are in full swing for this five-day program organized by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, in which more than 10,000 guests will participate.

Importance of flag hoisting: New chapter after consecration

Reiterating the grandeur of the Pran Pratistha ceremony, this flag hoisting program will give a new energy to Ayodhya. Treasurer of Ram Mandir Trust, Govind Dev Giri, said, "This saffron flag with the symbols of Surya, Om and the Kovidar tree mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana will be hoisted on the 42-foot-high pillar at the peak of the temple on November 25." This flag not only holds religious significance but will also reflect the joy of completion of the temple construction.

The program will begin on November 21 and conclude with the flag hoisting on November 25. Prime Minister Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will be present as chief guests. There will also be a big gathering of senior BJP leaders, which will give impetus to the upcoming campaigns of the party.

Grand event with 10,000 guests: Flag hoisting at eight temples

Ram Mandir Trust has increased the number of guests from 8,000 to 10,000. The flag hoisting will not be limited to the Ram temple alone—the ceremony will also take place at six other temples in the complex and the Sheshavtar temple. These include temples of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, Surya, Hanuman, Mata Bhagwati and Mata Annapurna. Trust member Anil Mishra said, "Special pujas, havans and other rituals will be performed in all the eight temples during the flag hoisting." Acharyas of Ayodhya and Kashi will conduct these rituals.

On November 25, Prime Minister Modi will invite participants of the world's largest Scouts and Guides Jamboree, in which more than 35,000 cadets will participate. He will also review the Vikas Uttar Pradesh campaign, for which more than 5 lakh suggestions have been received so far. Apart from this, inspection of Noida International Airport being built in Jewar will also be a part of the program.

Technical strength: 60 km/h wind-resistant flagpole

The flagpole installed on the top of the temple will be based on a 360 degree rotating ball bearing, which will be able to withstand strong storms up to 60 km/hour. The quality and strength of the flag fabric are under investigation. The flag-designing agency will present the test report in the building construction committee meeting on October 28, on the basis of which the final selection will be made. This will ensure that the flag remains steadfast over the years and continues to shine as a symbol.

Historical Background: Journey to Ram Temple

After a long struggle, the construction of the Ram temple started a new phase with Pran Pratishtha in 2024. This flag hoisting is a symbol of that completion, which will strengthen the faith of crores of devotees. This event in Ayodhya will give a new impetus to tourism and spiritual energy.

The flag-hoisting ceremony will further strengthen the Ram Temple on the global stage, where the saffron flag will shine like the rays of the sun, giving the message of the immortality of the Ram Katha. Devotees across the country are eagerly waiting for this moment.
