New Delhi: The ongoing war between Israel, the United States, and Iran has increased the risk of spreading to the entire Middle East. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the national capitalon Saturday (March 1) to address this issue. Sources indicate that he will arrive in New Delhi tonight after a two-day visit to Israel, where he will chair the meeting. The main focus of this meeting will be the latest developments in the ongoing war between Israel, Iran, and the United States, and the safety of Indian citizens stranded in various Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE.
This meeting is also significant because a large number of Indian students and civilians are present in Iran. Furthermore, Iran's retaliatory attacks are affecting various Middle Eastern countries. The airspace across the region is closed, leaving thousands of Indians stranded in these countries.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Modi visited Israel on January 25-26, amid ongoing tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Addressing the Israeli cabinet, he stated that India stands with Israel with full confidence. Prime Minister Modi also received a standing ovation in the Israeli Parliament. During the visit, the two countries signed 16 agreements, including in areas such as AI, defense, agriculture, energy, and cultural exchange.
