National News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann appealed to lawyers in the United Kingdom for support in assisting the state government to obtain rare video footage of the great martyr Bhagat Singh.Speaking with a delegation from the Bar Council of England and Wales at his official residence, the Chief Minister said that no video recordings of this great martyr are available in India. He stated that, according to information, rare video footage of Bhagat Singh, particularly related to his arrest and court hearings, may be present with Scotland Yard.

Significance of the Footage for the People

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these videos are extremely important for all Indians, especially Punjabis, as Bhagat Singh holds immense respect in everyone’s hearts. The Chief Minister mentioned that the state government is already making efforts to obtain this video footage so that future generations can draw inspiration from it. He appealed to the Bar Council of England and Wales to support the Punjab government in this humanitarian and public welfare effort to make the glorious legacy of martyr Bhagat Singh a source of inspiration for the youth. He added that the state government will leave no stone unturned in advocating for this matter of national importance.

Encouraging British Investment in Punjab

On another matter, the Chief Minister sought support from the Bar Council to encourage British investors to invest in Punjab. He highlighted that there are vast investment opportunities in sectors such as information technology, food processing, and automobiles, from which investors can gain significant benefits. Bhagwant Singh Mann invited British investors to participate in the upcoming ‘Invest Punjab Conference’ to be held in March.

On this occasion, Chair Barbara Mills K.C., Bar Chair Advisor Preen Dhillon-Starkings, Consultant Melisha Charles, and Barrister 4P.B. Baljinder Bath, along with other members of the Bar Council of England and Wales, assured the Chief Minister of their full cooperation and support. They also appreciated the significant steps taken by Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure the economic development and public welfare of the state.
