National News: The Punjab government has taken an important step towards making ‘Rangla Punjab’ a reality. With an investment of Rs 125 crore, the government plans to build 500 modern Panchayat Ghars and Common Service Centers in villages. These buildings are not just structures; they are meant to bring development and better facilities to rural areas. According to Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, every village with more than 2,800 people will get a Panchayat Ghar and a Common Service Center.

These centers will solve the shortage of spaces for village meetings and provide digital services to villagers. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had earlier launched this project from Fatehgarh Sahib, saying that Panchayat Ghars will give village councils a proper place to meet and make decisions for the welfare of their communities. Sondh also emphasized the importance of digital services, stating that Common Service Centers will help villagers access government schemes, school and college admissions, Aadhaar cards, passports, and other services. Each Panchayat Ghar will cost ₹20 lakh, while each Common Service Center will cost Rs 5 lakh.

Boosting Village Pride and Development

This project is about more than just buildings; it is about giving villages a sense of pride. Well-built, modern centers will show villagers that the government is serious about their growth. It is a step toward making villages smarter and better equipped. The Mann Government’s decision highlights that rural development is as important as city development. By giving Panchayats a proper space to meet, the government is making village decision-making more organized, transparent, and effective. These Panchayat Ghars will help local councils plan for their community’s growth, offering hope and a sense of progress for the villages of Punjab.

Bringing Digital Services to Every Village

Along with the Panchayat Ghars, the Common Service Centers will introduce digital facilities in rural areas. Villagers will have easier access to online government services and digital literacy programs. These centers will help reduce the gap between cities and villages by bringing modern amenities to rural residents. People will be able to complete government-related tasks easily, right in their villages. The initiative aligns with the AAP Government’s vision of spreading development beyond cities, ensuring that every village benefits from progress.

A Step Towards a Stronger Punjab

This project reflects the goal of making Punjab’s villages self-reliant and modern. The Mann Government aims to ensure that every village has proper facilities and that villagers feel empowered. The plan will inspire hope and confidence among rural residents, helping Punjab become prosperous again. By focusing on villages, the government is strengthening the roots of the state while promoting progress. ‘Rangla Punjab’ is no longer just a dream for cities—it is now being built in every village, turning them into centers of growth, democracy, and development where government services are easily accessible to all.
