Maharashtra: A big storm has come in the politics of Maharashtra. NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Rohit Pawar has sent a direct mail to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding a complete and impartial investigation into the plane crash on January 28 in which his uncle and former Deputy CM Ajit Pawar died. This crash took place near Baramati Airport, where the Learjet 45 plane crashed during landing and 5 people were killed—Ajit Dada including the pilot, crew and security guard.

What did Rohit Pawar write to Amit Shah?

On Saturday, Rohit Pawar himself said on social media that he has sent an email to Amit Shah, along with it he has also attached a detailed presentation in which many questions and his concerns regarding the crash have been mentioned. He met Civil Aviation Minister K. A letter has also been sent to Rammohan Naidu and DGCA. Rohit says that he tried to arrange a meeting but it did not happen, so he sent everything through email.

Is there a political motive behind this demand or not?

Rohit clearly said that this is not a political angle. He is simply taking these steps as a responsible public representative so that the truth comes out and there is no rumor or doubt in the minds of people. He said that until a complete investigation is done, a lot of questions will keep roaming in people's minds.

What should be checked before a crash?

Rohit Pawar has raised many points in his letter – What was the condition of the plane? What happened before the crash? What was the real reason? Plane maintenance, pilot changes, last minute changes in flight plans, ATC records, flight radar data, cockpit voice recordings – everything should be scrutinized in a transparent manner. They want the investigation report to be made public so that necessary steps can be taken to prevent such accidents in future.

Why is transparency so important?

Rohit says that maintaining people's trust is the biggest task. In such big accidents, the truth comes out only through transparency and there is no doubt. He appealed to the government and agencies that the investigation should be conducted honestly and openly, and the report should be made public. Now it remains to be seen what response the government and DGCA give and when the investigation will be completed.
