Washington: Tension is rising in the Middle East after America has sent a second aircraft carrier. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, said Washington still wants a diplomatic solution with Iran. There is military pressure, but we also want to keep the path of dialogue open so that things can be handled peacefully.

Is President Trump ready to meet the Supreme Leader of Iran?

Rubio clearly said that President Donald Trump believes in solving problems through dialogue. If Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wants to meet, Trump is ready to meet tomorrow itself. Rubio said, "I am quite confident that if the Ayatollah said tomorrow that he wants to meet with Trump, the President would meet – not because he agrees with him, but because Trump believes that this is how the world's problems are solved." Meeting is not a weakness, but a practical step.

Why did America increase military presence in the Middle East?

Rubio said that Iran has already attacked American targets and interests. Therefore, the military has been increased in the region so that Iran cannot attack. America never wants Iran to develop nuclear weapons – it would be a major threat to regional and global security. The world's largest carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, is headed from the Caribbean to the Middle East, now there will be two carrier groups there – with Abraham Lincoln.

America is still trying to make an agreement with Iran?

Trump's priority has always been to find solutions through dialogue. Rubio said talks could take place in the coming days. US Representatives such as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may attend. Nuclear talks are going to resume in Geneva next week, Oman is mediating. Trump has said that if a deal is not made, it will be a "very bad day" for Iran.

America's allies moving closer to China?

When questions were raised on the recent visit of leaders of Canada, Britain, and Germany to China, Rubio said that this is a normal diplomatic process. It is important to maintain dialogue and relations between big countries so that there is no unnecessary conflict. No big worries.

Will America adopt diplomatic path in future also?

It is clear from Rubio's words that on one hand we are strengthening security, and on the other hand efforts will continue to find solutions through dialogue. Trump believes that the best way to resolve international disputes is dialogue.
