National News: After the conflict between India and Pakistan, clear differences have emerged within the Congress regarding the ceasefire. Senior Congress leader and former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid has made an important statement from the party's official opinion. He said that the ceasefire was not taken by Pakistan, not by India, because it had to face heavy losses during this time.

'Whose call did you get first?' - Khurshid broke silence

Salman Khurshid reacted to the questions arising about the ceasefire and said, "It is complete nonsense to say that India called Pakistan first. We would have called them earlier. The phone had come from Pakistan's DGMO. He said, "Stop,' and we stopped. After that we did not attack any other attack".

Khurshid clarified that this decision was not the weakness of India but the result of Pakistan's nervousness and loss. He also added that India only made technical contact at the military level during the struggle, not political or diplomatic talks.

Khurshid is different from the official line of Congress

The Congress party has been raising the question till now of whether US President Donald Trump had any role in the ceasefire. Many leaders had demanded the government clarify who took the initiative to negotiate. In such a situation, this statement of Salman Khurshid seems different from the party's official line.

Tharoor also took a tough stand on Pak

Meanwhile, another senior Congress leader, Shashi Tharoor, also took a tough stand on Pakistan. Speaking on the international stage, Tharoor said:

"The Indus Water Treaty was signed between India and Pakistan because we wanted good relations. But Pakistan did not stop promoting terrorism, so we postponed this treaty."

His statement supports India's strict attitude toward foreign policy and exposes Pakistan's dual policy to the international community.

Political differences or strategic diversity?

The statements of both Salman Khurshid and Shashi Tharoor indicate that there is no uniformity about ceasefire and Pakistan policy within the Congress. While the party leadership is constantly raising questions on the government, senior leaders are seen standing in support of the current National Security Policy.

These differences not only indicate political rhetoric but also a big debate: whether all parties should not take a united stance on issues like national security.
