National News: An armed robbery in broad daylight in the Vijaypura district of Karnataka on Tuesday evening stirred up the entire area. The robbers targeted the Chadchan branch of State Bank of India (SBI) and escaped from the bank by looting a large amount of cash and gold jewelry. On receiving information about this incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case. According to preliminary information, the total estimated price of the loot is said to be around Rs 21 crore, including Rs 1 crore in cash and gold jewelry worth Rs 20 crore. The bank manager immediately lodged a police complaint, after which the FIR was lodged and the search for the accused was started.
According to the police, three robbers wearing masks entered the bank under the excuse of opening an account. As soon as he came in, he pointed guns and knives at the bank manager, cashier and other employees. Under the entire scheme, he tied the hands and feet of the employees and took the entire bank branch under his grip. After this, he very carefully took out cash and gold jewelry from the bank and kept it with him and then escaped from the bank and escaped. The incident created panic among the bank's staff and the customers present there.

The preliminary report has revealed that the robbers looted about Rs 1 crore in cash and about Rs 20 crore in gold jewelry. According to the bank manager, a large amount of money was present in the bank at this time and most of it is included in the looted goods. Vijayapura SP Laxman Nimbargi said that the robbers were using a Suzuki EV vehicle for theft, on which a fake number plate was installed.
