Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati: Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who is accused of molesting 17 students, has been sent to a five-day police custody. Notably, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, a self-styled ‘godman’ was arrested for molesting 17 women at a Delhi ashram. Notably, de was taken arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Agra on Sunday.

Earlier a statement from the Sringeri Sharada Peetha was issued stating that they have cut all ties with Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati. Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetha, Sringeri, issued a public statement stating that serious action has been taken against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati (formerly Swami Dr. Parthasarathy). The Peetha clearly stated that his conduct and activities were illegal, inappropriate, and against the interests of the Peetha.
It is to be noted that Chaitanyananda Saraswati has been accused of harassing women, particularly from the economically weaker section. A complaint was filed against Chaitanyananda Saraswati at the Vasant Kunj North Police Station.
The Sringeri Bench has clarified that the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management-Research (Vasant Kunj, New Delhi) is AICTE-accredited and operates under the Bench's jurisdiction. The Bench is governed by a Governing Council constituted by the Bench, headed by renowned educationist Dr. Krishna Venkatesh.
