In Solapur, officials reported that 4,002 people have been rescued so far, and around 6,500 are staying in relief camps. These camps are providing food, drinking water, and medical care. The Akshaya Patra Foundation is helping by supplying meals to villages that need them. To tackle fodder shortages for animals, Fadnavis ordered immediate arrangements, which will be increased from Monday. Officials are also assessing the damage to homes on a large scale. Families are receiving temporary relief of Rs 10,000 in cash, along with 10 kg each of rice and wheat.
The Naam Foundation is helping local authorities, and community leaders and business owners are being involved in planning relief efforts. Relief centers are being set up at both district and taluka levels. Large health camps are planned to start from Monday to serve affected people.
In Beed, authorities said that 17 dams are full, and two more are close to 90 per cent capacity. Currently, water is being released only from the Majalgaon Dam. Heavy rains have impacted 48 revenue circles in the past 24 hours, with some villages in Wadwani taluka losing connectivity. Emergency help is being provided in these areas. NDRF and Indian Army teams are on the ground conducting rescue operations. Villages along rivers are on high alert, with evacuation plans ready. In Ashti, 60 people have already been moved to safer areas. Since September, 2,567 families have been relocated due to floods. Sadly, 10 people have died, and financial aid has been given to eight families.
Fadnavis told officials in both districts to stay on-site and work closely with state agencies. He stressed the need to maintain relief services, especially food, water, medical care, and fodder supply, without interruption. He also emphasised evacuating vulnerable villages in advance to prevent loss of life.
