Radhika Yadav's Instagram bio sparks suspicion (Social Media)
National News: An Instagram username claiming to be Radhika Yadav's has surfaced, raising concerns about the state-level tennis player's possible murder by her father. "Todo pasa por algo," reads the bio in Spanish, which translates as "everything happens for a reason." The mysterious note raises questions about the circumstances that may have triggered her father, Deepak Yadav, to murder her.
The Instagram handle is private and has six posts. It is followed by 69 people, including Radhika's close friend and tennis player Himanshika Singh Rajput, who has accused her family of "controlling" every part of her life.
Himanshika said in an Instagram video yesterday that, despite achieving well in life, her parents criticized her for wearing shorts and talking to boys. "They couldn't stand to see her independent. They shamed her for wearing shorts, for talking to boys, and for living life on her own terms. They didn't like her being independent," said Himanshika.
"She traveled the world to play tennis; there were no restrictions," said one of Radhika's cousins. "If there had been restrictions, she would not have been able to leave home or train children. So, these things are totally wrong and baseless," she added.
Radhika Yadav, 25, was shot dead at her home in Gurugram's Sector 57 on Thursday. She ran a tennis academy following an injury. Her postmortem examination indicates that she got hit by three bullets in the back and one in the shoulder. Deepak Yadav, her father, later admitted to killing Radhika and was arrested. Police first claimed that Deepak Yadav committed the crime in response to insults that he lived off her salary and that her tennis academy served as a flashpoint between the two.
