Rajdhani Express, Kathgodam Train Saved from Derailment Attempt in UP's Hardoi (X )
In a daring move, a move to derail Rajdhani Express and another train, Kathgodam Express, was thwarted in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district thanks to the fast thinking and alertness of the loco pilots. This happened on Monday evening when the miscreants put wooden logs bound together with earthing wire on the rail track between Dalelnagar and Umartali stations.
The loco driver of the Rajdhani Express (20504) running between Delhi and Dibrugarh in Assam noticed the hurdle and applied the emergency brake, preventing the disaster. He immediately informed railway authorities, who acted quickly to secure the passengers.
Though the first attempt had been thwarted, vagabonds attempted to derail the Kathgodam Express (15044) again. But owing to the loco pilot's awareness and promptness, the train was stopped from having an accident.
Superintendent Neeraj Kumar Jadaun visited the spot and directed a probe into the incident. Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, and police teams of the area are jointly pursuing the culprits and pursuing their prosecution.
