A horrifying incident has emerged from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman was allegedly raped by two men while she was at their home to cook. The victim approached the police on Wednesday morning, filing a complaint against the accused and demanding justice. Upon receiving the report, senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police and the Circle Officer, arrived at the scene to investigate. Authorities have registered a case and arrested both accused individuals.
The crime took place in Nanda Nagar Ward of Bhalauni town. The primary accused, Rupesh Singh, a resident of Jharkha village in Ballia district, had been living in a rented house in the area and was engaged in the fish trade. The victim was employed as a cook in his home.
On Tuesday evening, when the woman arrived to prepare food, Rupesh allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. Shortly after, his friend, Abhimanyu Singh from Bhalauni, arrived at the house. Taking advantage of the situation, both men committed the crime. Somehow, the woman managed to escape and reached home, reporting the incident to the police the next morning.
Following the victim’s formal complaint, Bhalauni Station House Officer Ajay Kumar Pandey conducted an immediate raid, taking both suspects into custody. By the afternoon, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer Singh and CO Aditya Kumar Gautam arrived at the crime scene to collect further statements from both the victim and the accused.
SP Vikrant Veer Singh confirmed that a case has been registered under rape charges, and both accused have been arrested. He further stated that forensic experts have been dispatched to the location to collect crucial evidence. The case is under active investigation, and authorities have assured strict legal action against the perpetrators.
