New Delhi News: Bhuvnesh Kumar, an IAS officer from the 1995 batch, has been made the new CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He would continue to serve as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) while handling UIDAIBhuvnesh Kumar is appointed as CEO by UIDAI The government has selected Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS of 1995 batch of Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Executive Officer of Unique Identification Authority of India, or UIDAI. In a notification issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, or MeitY, on Wednesday, it was stated that Kumar would lead efforts at UIDAI related to augmentation of the Aadhaar system and general digital identity framework in the country.The handover of powers under Amit Agrawal.Bhuvnesh Kumar is inheriting the steps of Amit Agrawal who, in turn, has been promoted to the office of Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals during December 2024.
