According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be heavy rain in many parts of North, West and North-East India on July 24. There is also a warning of very heavy rain in some states. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be careful in bad weather and leave their homes only if necessary.

According to IMD, today there may be heavy rain in many areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds may also occur in some places.
