Patna: Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister on Thursday for a record tenth time at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Nitish Kumar's oath ceremony was graced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other top leader.
During the oath ceremony, PM Modi thanked people of Bihar with his signature ‘gamchha’ wave. Along with Nitish Kumar, BJP’s Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were sworn in as state ministers of Bihar. Several other leaders were also sworn in as the new government was formed in Bihar. After the new government formation in Bihar, top leaders extended their praise and wishes for CM Nitish Kumar. Here is what the top leaders said.
PM Modi took to his X and posted, ''Congratulations to Shri Nitish Kumar Ji on taking oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister. He is an experienced administrator with a proven track record of good governance for many years. My best wishes to him for his tenure ahead.''
On NDA formation in Bihar, LJP (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan said, "...This is a big responsibility. My government will work to put Bihar first and Biharis first with Prime Minister Modi's vision and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's experience..."
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "I congratulate Nitish Kumar ji and the people of Bihar."
BJP's Central Observer for the election of the leader of the legislative party in Bihar, KP Maurya said, "This was a historic oath ceremony in the presence of PM Modi. The double-engine government will work to fulfil the dreams of the people of the state. Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, we will work for Viksit Bihar..."
As Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar CM, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said, "According to PM Modi, today, the foundation stone of Viksit Bihar has been laid. PM Modi and Nitish Kumar have worked for the betterment of the people of the state... The opposition does not believe in democracy. If they had trust in the democracy, they would have come here..."
On NDA govt returning to Bihar, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "I congratulate Nitish Kumar ji and all the ministers who took oath today. The double engine government under the leadership of PM Modi will take Bihar forward on the path of development..."
On NDA govt returning to Bihar, JD(U) leader KC Tyagi said, "Nitish Kumar has taken the oath with the resolve to make a new Bihar."
