Jharkhand News: In a shocking case from Ranchi, Jharkhand, a woman named Paulina Hemrom has accused her husband, Firoz Alam, of marrying 12 women and forcing them to convert. Paulina, who resides in Bariatu Sattar Colony, lodged a complaint on Monday, detailing the alleged misdeeds of her husband to the police. According to her statement, Firoz has not only harassed her but also attempted to convert her to his religion multiple times.Harassment, forced conversion, and abusePaulina claims that since their marriage in 1992, she has been subjected to continuous harassment by Firoz and her in-laws, including the use of casteist slurs. She revealed, “I am his second wife, but after me, he married 12 other women, forcing each one to convert before marriage. He has tried to make me convert many times, but I resisted.” Due to this resistance, she alleges her in-laws became increasingly hostile toward her.The victim has also accused her husbands relatives, including her sisters-in-law Shahnaz Khatoon, Nikhat Parveen, and Rahnuma Khatoon, of supporting Firozs actions. Paulina added that on September 28, when she visited her husband for her daughter-in-laws and grandchildrens welfare, Firoz attempted to stab her with a knife. Fearing for her life, she fled the scene. Based on Paulinas complaint, the police have registered a case against Firoz Alam and his family members. Firoz is currently absconding, and a manhunt has been launched to locate him.
