Uttar Pradesh: Ayodhya is currently experiencing a surge of spiritual fervor, coinciding with the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, which is renowned for being the largest spiritual gathering in the country. As Ayodhya commemorates the first anniversary of the Ram Mandir, where Ram Lalla was ceremoniously placed on his rightful seat during the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, the city has seen a remarkable influx of devotees and tourists since January 22, 2024. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra recently celebrated the 'Pratishtha Dwadashi Mahotsav,' marking this significant milestone.
The anniversary celebrations kicked off on January 11, 2025, with a notable increase in devotees attending the festivities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the main rituals during last year’s grand opening of the Ram temple, which attracted many prominent figures from various fields. This year, the rituals were aligned with the Hindu calendar, taking place on Kurma Dwadashi during the Shukla Paksha of Paush month.

Following this, devotees participated in chanting 6 lakh Shri Ram Mantras alongside recitations of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa.
