IND Vs SL: Team India Adds 4 Net Bowlers For Sri Lanka Tests, Says Reports

New Delhi: The Indian team has begun its preparations ahead of the Test series against Sri Lanka. Keeping in mind the spin-friendly Sri Lankan pitches, the team management has added four different styles of spin bowlers for net practice. The aim here was to provide the Indian batsmen with different kinds of spin deliveries prior to the match.

Who are the new spinners?

The Indian team management has reportedly come up with a special plan to gear up for Sri Lanka's spin friendly environment ahead of the tour. India will be accompanied by four specialist spin net bowlers in the squad, as per the Cricbuzz report.  

Who will be the net bowlers for Team India?

As per the reports, the team India will be accompanied by four spin bowlers for the net sessions in Sri Lanka.

According to the report, the net bowlers include Vipraj Nigam, Shivang Kumar, Harsh Dubey, and Tanush Kotian. All four bowlers have different spin styles, and this will give the batters different challenges during practice.

What about the preparations?

Spin bowlers play a crucial role in Test cricket in Sri Lanka, so the Indian team wants to prepare its batsmen in advance against different spin styles.

The decision to include four net bowlers is part of this strategy. This will give batsmen the opportunity to work on their technique against balls with turn and different angles.

Who will be the captain of the team?

Shubman Gill will lead the Indian team in the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, with KL Rahul as vice-captain. The squad also includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav. Sai Sudarshan's selection is reportedly subject to fitness clearance.
 
The first Test between India and Sri Lanka will be at Galle from 15 to 19 August. The second Test will be played at the SSC Stadium in Colombo from August 23 to 27. Both Tests will start at 10am IST.
