During this innings, there was a stretch of 40 consecutive deliveries where not a single boundary was scored. This marked the longest boundary-less streak - measured by the number of balls faced - by any team in the history of IPL finals.

Gujarat Titans' innings saw a boundary—a four—hit in the 5.5th over; following that, the team did not manage to score another boundary until the 12.4th over. The entire innings featured a total of 15 fours and 3 sixes. Playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, Gujarat Titans got off to a poor start in this contest. The team suffered its first setback in the 2.2nd over with the dismissal of captain Shubman Gill (10). By that point, the team had managed to add only 22 runs to its total.
