Yash Dayal's Sexual Harassment Case (Social Media)
Sports News: An FIR has been filed against Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler Yash Dayal. The cricketer was charged with sexual exploitation under false pretenses of marriage on Monday. The incident had occurred after a woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, said about her relationship with the cricketer that he used to mentally torture and abuse her. The complaint was filed alleging physical, emotional, and mental abuse.
The FIR was filed under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which is about sexual actions that are done through lies or false promises of marriage. If proven guilty, the cricketer might end up in a 10-year imprisonment.
The FIR filed against RCB's bowler read that he had been in a five-year relationship with the woman, who said that she faced mental, financial, and sexual exploitation over the course of the relationship. The situation worsened when the woman discovered Dayal's "true intentions," which involved physical assault.
In the FIR, it was clearly mentioned that Yash Dayal used to give false hope of marriage. The report also read, "Three other girls have contacted her and shared similar experiences. She says Yash used the same app on their phones to order household items. She found out that he stayed in a Lucknow hotel on 7 June and ordered objectionable items."
The woman also claims that she asked for help on the women's helpline number on June 14, 2025. But she had to approach the chief minister's office for justice after no initial help was given to her. She also said that she approached the chief minister's office because of feeling helpless, both socially and financially.
