Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Team India for winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The Indian men's cricket team has created history by winning the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. Team India won the title by defeating New Zealand at the Ahmedabad Stadium.
Prime Minister Modi congratulated Team India after their T20 World Cup victory. He praised the Indian team's athletic skills and the players' teamwork on social media. Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi also congratulated Team India on their T20 World Cup win. He credited Sanju Samson and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the victory and praised the skills of the entire team. He wrote on the social media site X, "Champions once again. This was a great win for our Indian team, with special credit to Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah for their brilliant performances throughout the tournament. Congratulations to Team India for retaining the trophy on home soil and giving the nation another unforgettable moment."
