Sports News:  Even before the announcement of the squad for the upcoming England tour of the Indian team, two veteran players of Team India, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, said goodbye to this format, which is definitely a big shock for everyone. In such a situation, now the biggest challenge for the Indian team is going to be the number-4 position in Tests, in which Virat Kohli has handled this responsibility for a long time. A big statement has come from Team India player Cheteshwar Pujara regarding this, in which he has made it clear that it will take time to find a suitable player for the number-4 position.

It will take at least 2 to 3 series

Cheteshwar Pujara, in his statement to ESPN Cricinfo regarding the number-4 position after Virat Kohli's retirement, said that we will need two-three series to understand who is most suitable at number 4, because it is an important position. Your best batsman should be at number-4 and at this time it is still a place where the team management has to decide who is the most suitable player. Many players are still making their place in the team, in which you cannot consider anyone's place as permanent right now. This is a process, which is sure to take at least 2 to three series.

Virat Kohli had a great record at number-4 position

After Sachin Tendulkar's retirement, Virat Kohli got the opportunity to play at number-4 position in which he has batted at number-4 position in 99 out of 123 test matches of his career, in which Kohli has scored 7564 runs at an average of 50.09 while batting in 160 innings, in which 26 centuries and 21 half-century innings have been seen from his bat. Kohli's best score of test career, 254 not out, has also come at this position.
