About 12 Killed In J&K's Udhampur Bus Accident; Rescue Operation Underway (x)
Udhampur: A major accident has occurred in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. At least 15 people were killed and 20 others were injured after a passenger bus overturned near Jalo area on the Ramnagar-Udhampur highway on Monday. According to reports, injured people have been shifted to nearby hospitals, and authorities have arrived at the spot for a rescue operation.
Rescue operations are underway, with police, administration, and local residents assisting.
A major road accident occurred in Kaghote village in Ramnagar, Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir. A public transport bus overturned on the Ramnagar-Udhampur highway near Kagort, causing widespread panic. The bus was traveling from a remote village to Udhampur when the driver lost control at a turn and the vehicle plunged into a ditch.
Relief and rescue operations were swiftly launched at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. Administration and police teams, with the help of local residents, transported the injured to the hospital. According to officials, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed grief over the incident and said he had spoken to Udhampur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Minga Sherpa. Singh stated that he had received information about the bus accident in Kanote village about an hour ago, and rescue operations had been launched immediately.

The Union Minister is in constant touch with the local administration and the team of local workers led by Rajinder Sharma. The rescue operation is still underway and detailed information about the incident is awaited.
