Assam CM Says 'Will Kick Out All Bangladeshi Infiltrators'; Fear No One (X)
Kalimpong: The political atmosphere in West Bengal is heated these days due to the assembly elections. While the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is trying its best to remain in power in the state, the BJP is also eyeing the Chief Minister's post in West Bengal. Top BJP leaders are holding public meetings and rallies one after another in Bengal, trying to mobilize voters in their favour. In this sequence, after the voting in Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma has now become active in Bengal.
During a rally in Kalimpong, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by making serious allegations. The Assam Chief Minister said that Mamata Banerjee has sold the entire land of the state to Bangladeshi Muslims for the sake of votes.
"Mamata Banerjee has earmarked the entire treasury of Bengal for Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators. She sold this land to Bangladeshi Muslims for votes," he alleged.
Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday also accused Mamata Banerjee of handing over the state's resources to "Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators." He said Banerjee must be removed from power or we will lose Bengal.
"We have to remove Mamata Banerjee as Bengal CM, else one day Bangladeshi Muslims will take away the state from us."
While addressing a rally in Kalimpong, Himanta Biswa Sarma, claimed that the BJP governments in Assam and Tripura have prevented "Bangladeshi Muslims" from entering India, while illegal infiltration continues in Bengal.
The Assam CM said Mamata Banerjee has reserved Bengal's entire treasury for Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators and stated that she sold this land to Bangladeshi Muslims for votes.
Himanta Biswa Sarma said that since becoming Chief Minister, Banerjee has ruined the entire Bengal. We must remove Mamata Banerjee from the post of Chief Minister of Bengal, otherwise one day Bangladeshi Muslims will snatch this state from us.
While speaking at the rally, Himanta Biswa Sarma also claimed that no development took place in North Bengal during Mamata Banerjee's tenure and promised that "once the BJP forms a government in Bengal, we will kick out all Bangladeshi infiltrators from this region."
The Trinamool Congress has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, alleging that he made polarizing and criminally threatening statements during his election campaign in West Bengal. In a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, the ruling party accused the senior BJP leader of violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), provisions of the Indian Penal Code, and the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
