Delhi Traffic Police preparations for January 26 in full swing; 3,000 personnel deployed (Pankaj Rai)

New Delhi: Extensive arrangements have been made for security and traffic management in the national capital on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26th. The Delhi Traffic Police is on high alert and fully prepared to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience during the Republic Day parade and related events.

What measures are being taken by Delhi police?  

More than 3000 Delhi Traffic Police personnel have been deployed in and around the sensitive areas of India Gate. To ensure smooth traffic flow, the entire area has been divided into 4 zones and 11 sectors, allowing for close monitoring of all activities.

To make traffic management effective, 41 cranes, 29 public address systems (PA systems), 11 fire tenders, 42 ambulances, and 12 traffic police help desks have been set up at the site. All agencies have been put on alert to deal with any emergency situation.

What Dinesh Kumar Gupta said about Republic Day preparations?

In a special interview with India Daily correspondent Pankaj Rai, Additional CP Traffic Dinesh Kumar Gupta said that the main objective of the traffic police during the Republic Day parade and related events is to ensure the safety of the people and maintain smooth traffic flow. He said that special arrangements have been made on all important routes and monitoring is being done at every level.

The Additional CP Traffic appealed to the general public to follow the issued traffic advisories, avoid unnecessary travel on restricted routes, and cooperate with the administration so that the Republic Day celebrations can be conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner.
