Weather Changes Overnight in Delhi-NCR, Heavy Rain Lowers Temperature Suddenly (X)
New Delhi: The weather has taken a slight turn amid the scorching heat that has been prevailing in Delhi-NCR for several days. On Saturday, light rain and strong winds started blowing in the capital and surrounding areas. However, people were not expected to get complete relief from this, because the effect of heat was still there. According to IMD, a slight change may be seen in the weather, but after this there are signs of temperature increasing again. Earlier on Friday, light rain was seen in some areas of Punjab.
Don't expect complete relief. Meteorologists are saying that this relief is just a guest of one or two days. Due to western disturbance, there will be cloud cover at some places and light rain may occur. But this will increase the humidity. This means that the heat will not be less, there will just be a different kind of problem. The heat will remain the same during the day in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram.

IMD has clearly said that heat wave will return after 2 days. Dry and hot winds coming from the north-west will raise the mercury again. The temperature in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab is expected to reach 45 degrees. That means the relief that will be provided will be only in name. By the end of May, the heat will show its colors again.
The weather in Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gurugram will also be almost similar to Delhi. Clouds may appear at some places. There is a possibility of light rain but not guaranteed. The real problem will be humidity.
Doctors are repeatedly warning that even if the weather changes, do not be careless. There is a risk of dehydration and heat stroke in both heat and humidity. Take special care of children, elderly and sick people. Drink as much water as possible, take buttermilk, lemon water, coconut water. Do not go out in the sun without any reason. If you have to go out, cover your head. Eat light and fresh food.
The last week of May will also have similar ups and downs. Somewhere there is light rain and somewhere there is strong heat. IMD says that at present there will be no complete relief from heat. There is still time for monsoon to arrive. Till then the biggest task is to protect yourself from heat.
