CIA Ratia Takes Major Action, Arrests Man With Illegal Pistol And Two Live Cartridges

Haryana: Acting on the directions of Superintendent of Police Nikita Khattar, IPS, and as part of the special campaign against crime and illegal possession of weapons in the district, the CIA Ratia police have arrested a man with an illegal .315-bore pistol and two live cartridges.

The accused has been identified as Sher Singh alias Shera, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Ward No. 5, Ratia.

Providing details, CIA Ratia In-charge Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar said that a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar was patrolling the area to prevent criminal activities and monitor suspicious persons. During the patrol, the team received confidential information that a man carrying an illegal weapon was present in the Arora Colony area of Ratia.

Taking the information seriously, the police team immediately set up a checkpoint in the area. Based on the description provided, the team apprehended Sher Singh alias Shera. During a search conducted as per procedure, police recovered an illegal .315-bore pistol and two live cartridges from his possession.

Police registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act at City Ratia Police Station and initiated further investigation. The accused is being questioned regarding the source of the illegal weapon and any other possible criminal activities.

CIA Ratia In-charge Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar said that the accused will be produced before the court today. He added that police action against people possessing illegal weapons and those involved in criminal activities will continue across the district.
