Ratia: A free health check-up camp will be organised on November 8 at Gurdwara Shri Guru Granth Sahib Angitha Sahib in Nathwan as part of the celebrations marking the Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. The initiative will provide devotees visiting the gurdwara, as well as local residents, an opportunity to undergo several medical tests free of cost.
Social worker Happy Singh Sethi said religious programmes have been taking place at the gurdwara over the past several days to mark Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary. A large number of devotees from India and abroad have been visiting the shrine to offer prayers and participate in the celebrations.
Keeping the convenience of devotees and the spirit of community service in mind, the gurdwara management decided to organise the health camp. Free laboratory tests, including haemoglobin (HB), calcium, blood sugar, SGPT and uric acid, will be conducted. A team from Singh Laboratory will provide testing services during the camp.
Happy Singh Sethi said serving humanity and helping those in need have always been central to Sikh traditions. In keeping with these values, the organisers are giving importance to healthcare services alongside religious programmes so that more people can benefit.
He appealed to residents of the area and devotees to visit Gurdwara Angitha Sahib on November 8 and make use of the free health check-up facility.
