Twisha Sharma's Last Rites Performed At Bhopal Crematorium After Second Postmortem

Bhopal: The last rites of Twisha Sharma, who was a 32 year-old former model-actor, was performed at 5 pm on Sunday at Bhadbhada Ghat in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal by her brother, following the completion of her second postmortem examination conducted by AIIMS team in Bhopal.

The funeral ceremony of Trisha Sharma was held at Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat (Shamshan Ghat), Muktidham, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

When did the post-mortem happen?

Amid growing demands for transparency in the investigation, the second postmortem examination was conducted by a team of senior doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal, after directions issued by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

What did the family say?

Before the last rites of Twisha Sharma, her father Navnidhi Sharma said that, "I am very emotional right now. I just want to bid farewell to my daughter first."

According to family members, Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, and husband, Samarth Singh, were not allowed to attend the cremation ceremony.

While speaking to ANI, Twisha’s cousin Ashish Sharma said that the family had initially wanted to conduct the final rites in Delhi but later decided against it due to practical and medical concerns.

“We wanted to perform the last rites in Delhi, but I think it’s probably impractical in this heat to travel so far. Due to medical reasons, it’s been decided to perform her last rites in Bhopal," he said.
