The Moga Police have launched a special campaign called 'Caso Operation' to support Punjab’s mission of becoming a drug-free state. As part of this initiative, on Thursday, around 150 police personnel conducted raids on the homes of suspected drug smugglers in several villages of the Nihal Singh Wala subdivision. The primary goal of this operation is to take strict action against drug trafficking and eliminate it at the grassroots level.
Providing details about the campaign, Moga DSP Anwar Ali stated: 'This morning, the Nihal Singh Wala Police took action in several villages under the 'Caso Operation' and searched the houses of suspected drug smugglers.' No drug smuggler will be spared, and this campaign will continue without pause. Through this operation, the police have taken decisive steps toward dismantling drug smuggling networks.
This campaign by the Moga Police is part of the Punjab Government’s broader anti-drug initiative, aimed at making the state completely drug-free. Officers involved in the operation conducted thorough searches at various suspicious locations, working to collect evidence related to drug trafficking. DSP Anwar Ali affirmed that the campaign will be ongoing and executed with full rigour to ensure a comprehensive crackdown on drug smugglers.
The police have announced plans to expand the campaign, with similar raids to be carried out in other areas as well. Local residents have welcomed the initiative, calling it a significant step toward de-addiction. This proactive effort by the Moga Police reflects the administration's zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking.
