Aligarh Canter-Truck Crash on Yamuna Expressway, Driver Killed as Video Goes Viral (Facebook)
Uttar Pradesh: A horrific road accident occurred late Sunday night on the Agra-Noida Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. A car traveling at high speed collided with a truck moving ahead. The collision was so strong that the front part of the Canter was completely shattered, and the driver died on the spot. The video of this accident is now spreading rapidly on social media.
The accident occurred near Milestone 43 of the Yamuna Expressway in Tappal police station area. It is being said that the car was at high speed, and after suddenly losing its balance, it hit the truck moving in front from behind. There was chaos on the road after the collision.
The cabin of the canter was blown to pieces in the accident. The driver got badly trapped in the cabin and died on the spot. Later the police took out the body and sent it for postmortem.
At the time of the accident, a car was running behind the canter. The youth in the car recorded the entire incident on their mobile cameras. The high speed, the sound of the collision, and the horrific scene after the accident are clearly visible in the video. This video is now going viral on social media.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Kanhaiya, son of Munnu, resident of Shahjahanpur. He was driving a canter and was passing through the expressway for some work.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the team of Tappal police station and Yamuna Expressway Authority reached the spot. The body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation into the accident has been started. Police are trying to find out whether the accident happened due to high speed or some other reason.
This accident has once again raised questions on the speed and safety arrangements on Yamuna Expressway. Such accidents happening every day force one to think whether speed control and monitoring on the expressway are sufficient or not.
