According to the police, a case of Mohit Sharma's murder was registered on July 2 in the Crossings Republik police station area. During the investigation, the police identified the main accused, Gaurav, and his accomplices. Subsequently, on July 3, the police arrested Gaurav.
Ghaziabad police claimed that the accused was taken to a dumping yard near the Shanti Nagar Water Plant to recover the murder weapon. During this time, the accused eluded police and fled, hiding in the bushes.
Police said that the accused, hiding in the bushes, pulled out a country-made pistol and fired at the police team. They said they then retaliated in self-defense, shooting Gaurav in the leg and subduing him.
The injured suspect has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police say his condition is stable. The investigation is ongoing, and police are also searching for other suspects in the murder.
According to reports, on July 2, a young man named Mohit Sharma was lured to a home under the pretext of a birthday party and stabbed to death in the Crossing Republic police station area. Six people were reportedly involved in the incident. Police registered a case and identified the main accused, Gaurav, and his associates.
