The fire spread through all three floors quickly and students couldn't escape. Some jumped from windows and several got trapped inside. First responders found bodies in classrooms and hallways.
Families came to the hospital looking for their children. The hospital became a place of grief. The building was in a residential area. Neighbors heard the screams. They saw smoke pouring out. People tried to help but the fire was too strong. Within minutes, it was over for those trapped inside. The government said there will be an investigation. They want to know why the fire spread so fast. They want to know if there were safety measures. They want to know who is responsible.
Condolences poured in from all sides. Political leaders, activists, common people. Everyone expressed shock and sadness. Fifteen young lives ended in minutes. Seven more fighting for their lives in hospital beds.
A coaching center that was supposed to help students build their futures instead became a place of death. The government had promised an investigation. The injured are waiting for recovery. Lucknow waits to understand that how this happened and how to make sure it never happens again.
