Muzaffarnagar: A young man was allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons by three people while leaving a mosque after offering prayers in the Khalapar police station area of Muzaffarnagar. The victim, identified as Sufiyan, sustained injuries and was admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
According to the information available, the incident took place on Thursday. The circumstances surrounding the assault are being examined, while an official statement from the police is awaited.
Sufiyan’s father, Mohammad Shahid, claimed that the two sides had been involved in a physical altercation around eight months ago. At that time, members of the community had intervened and helped broker a settlement between them.
However, the family alleges that threats to kill them continued even after the compromise. They suspect that the latest attack was motivated by the longstanding dispute.
Following the incident, the victim’s family approached the Khalapar police station and lodged a complaint. The relatives have expressed concern for their children’s safety, alleging that the accused pose a threat to their lives.
The family has demanded strict legal action against those responsible and police protection for its members.
The case remains subject to investigation, and further details are awaited regarding the allegations and any action taken by the police. The claims made by the victim’s family have not yet been independently confirmed.
