Dehradun: A major reshuffle may soon be seen in the politics of Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's government is preparing for cabinet expansion and according to the information, five new ministers can be inducted. This decision is considered important in view of the posts lying vacant for a long time and the need to maintain political balance. This step in the state is also being seen as a strategy to strengthen coordination between the organization and the government before the 2027 assembly elections.
The number of council of ministers in Uttarakhand is limited, but at present all the posts have not been filled. At present, the number of ministers including the chief minister, has not reached its full capacity, hence the possibility of inducting new faces was already being expressed.
According to sources, new faces are being selected keeping in mind the party organization and regional balance. In this, priority can be given to those MLAs who have been in the race to become ministers for a long time and are playing an active role in the organization. However, the final names will be decided only after the consent of the top leadership.
Experts believe that this expansion is not just an administrative need but also a part of political strategy. The government wants to strengthen its base by giving representation to different regions and classes so that it can benefit in the coming elections.
With the induction of new ministers, the distribution of departments will also change and it is expected that the work will speed up. With this, efforts will also be made to improve the image of the government and speed up development works.
This is being considered as the beginning of a big change in political circles. It is believed that in the coming time, there may be a reshuffle at the organizational level also so that both the government and the party can come together stronger and enter the electoral fray.
