Trending News: A video of a retired Canadian officer is being discussed among people these days, in which the officer said that he went for a walk in the forest and had to pay a fine of Rs 18 lakh. This veteran named Jeff Evely shared a video on his social media account.
In which he said that he was walking on the mountain road in the Coxheath area of Nova Scotia. This place is near the Department of Natural Resources, and he was fined 28,872.50 Canadian dollars (about 18.3 lakh rupees) for walking in this place.
At the beginning of the clip, Evely is seen standing on the mountain road and pointing at his camera, saying, "Hey guys, I'm Jeff Evely here on the mountain road in Coxheath, Nova Scotia." Then he points in another direction and says, "What you see behind me is not a forest; it's the Department of Natural Resources, where officers are imposing a fine of $25,000 for entering the forest." He is seen as an officer later in the video.

He goes to him and politely asks, "I have come to know that you people are currently imposing a fine of $25,000 on anyone going into the forest." I am going to go to the forest on this side, but I do not want any trouble for you. After this, when I came back from there, the officers fined me 28,872.50 Canadian dollars (about Rs 18.3 lakh).
Actually, the Nova Scotia government has recently banned roaming in forests, camping, fishing, and the use of vehicles like ATVs. The reason for this is the increasing risk of forest fires. This ban has come into effect from this week, but people are divided over the decision. Many citizens are considering it a ban on their freedom.
This video went viral as soon as it came on the internet. People are reacting to it by making funny comments. One user wrote, "I hope you will definitely win your case and you will definitely get your money back." While another wrote, "Wait, is it prohibited to walk in the forest in Canada?" What is this? I am confused. Another commented on the video and wrote that I am not able to understand anything about this kind of fine.
