Akshay Narisetti is a software engineer and founder of Open Vision. He had rejected multiple high-grade job offers from Google to build his own startup. He shared on X that his entrepreneurial journey led him to reject lucrative opportunities and stay committed to his vision.
As part of his strategies to build up his startup Open Vision, the young entrepreneur has declined many job offers by Google in the last two years. Narsetti did complete graduation from SRM Institute in Chennai before he was called by Google at various times in the past, including an offer to take an entire team there to join their Google VR unit.
Before Open Vision, Narisetti was already making waves in the tech world with a very simple yet brilliant project. He developed a hack for Google's Dino Game, the famous internet outage game. The hack auto-pressed the spacebar each time a hurdle appeared, which ensured the game never ended. This clever project earned him an interview with Google, marking the beginning of his tech career.
Narisetti believes that simple projects may have the greatest impact. His Dino Game hack, which creatively and playfully addressed frequent internet issues, brought him a lot of attention. According to him, simplicity scales; projects become easier to understand and more interesting for people. He is an example that small innovative ideas may lead to more opportunities.
Among the companies he leads is Open Vision, one of the places where he continuously innovates with AI. One of the big tech companies has tried to lure him into creating for them, and he has rebuffed that, making his way in creating a device that will change the face of AI. His story embodies how passion in doing something surpasses following the conventional and safe way of a career.
